Nonostante questo, e nonostante le insicurezze che a tratti lo assalgono, Girton è capace di mettere a frutto abilità e intelligenza con un'astuzia e una creatività davvero sorprendenti. Attraverso il suo racconto in prima persona, noi lettori veniamo catapultati dentro il cuore della storia, i suoi occhi diventano i nostri, viviamo azioni e combattimenti sulla nostra pelle, il livello di coinvolgimento è altissimo, proprio come in un videogioco.
