Ai tesori custoditi all’interno di questa magistrale raccolta Angela Carter ha affidato il proprio testamento stilistico, servendosi di una scrittura raffinata, barocca, a tratti ermetica e costruendo una nuova mitologia femminista con cui condurre un’acuta analisi della società che supera le barriere del tangibile e penetra i meandri dell’immaginazione. Queste pagine, semplicemente, sono la testimonianza di una perdita incolmabile per la letteratura.
